I admit it - I like American Idol now
For years I refused to watch American Idol and thought it was crap. Now I'm hooked. This would fall under guilty pleasures. And I'm very gay.
Some of the contestants remind me of people.

i also am very gay and like american idol. i didnt watch it the first season, and the second i resisted, but caught some of it. then i realized it was awesome.
who do you want to win? who do you think will win?
My thoughts are that America's next 2 cuts will be Bucky and Melissa. I think both of those 2 are better than Kevin, but I kinda doubt the voting will happen that way.
My favorite 4 are Chris, Taylor, Elliot and Katherine. Chris's rocker thing might be too 1 dimensional to carry the votes. Elliot is a great singer, but he might be too ugly to get the votes.
So that leaves Taylor and McPhee. Taylor is entertaining as hell but he isn't nearly as good a singer as her. But in spite of being attractive, McPhee can be kind of stiff and awkward, although she seems to be getting better at that based on last week's awesome performance.
So I'm rooting for those 4 because I think they're the most worthy. I don't like Ace but he could be a wild card. Generally, having not watched previous seasons, I don't know how people will vote, but I could see Ace getting lots of votes from little girls, and maybe getting the votes that Kevin loses.
I'm rooting for Kevin to get kicked off this week because I enjoy him the least. He's a good singer but he's not a stand-alone superstar entertainer.
i think kevin looks like harry potter. oh, and living for the city is my favorite stevie wonder song and that guy did a great job with it tonight :)
yeah, i agree with much of what you said. i like mcphee the most. i also like kellie although lately she is proving to be too pickler. shes cute/naive/innocent which goes a long way in terms of being likeable, plus she is hot. however, she needs to improve on her performances if she is to go far. i hope charlie brown gets bounced tonight. i think as elliot goes further they can do a clay aiken number and decrease the ugly factor, because he was pretty brutal to start, especially with that chin strap that i hated. taylor is quality, although he reminds me of a blind forest gump, but in a good way. i do dislike chris' lack of versatility. i agree he good at a certain type of music, but would like to see him mix it up...
Chris, Katherine or Mandisa should win. They are the only ones that are entertaining and have talent.

The Fawn is probably the best singer. But hes boring and ugly. Therefore he can't win.
Taylor is cool, but kinda like my cool single 30-something uncle is. I like him. But I don't see him winning.
Kelly is a dumb bitch, with false southern saccharine 'charm.' She's only cute because shes on TV. I know plenty of girls more attractive than her.
Paris is a poodle. Yes, she can sing. But she's a poodle. Yip Yip.
Bucky is an awkward teenage girl. He needs braces and should play girl's high school basketball. I kinda like his voice in a nails on chalkboard kind of way. I just can't stand looking at him. Or hearing him talk. Or...sing.
Lisa looks like Aalyiah She's pretty cool, but just not that talented. She needs an agent, a dance coach and a hit song featuring (insert hot new hip-hop artist here). Then star in a B-list movie with Jackie Chan or Owen Wilson as her "zany, look at the difference between our races even though we're all the same inside" sidekick.
Ace is just kinda lame. He too needs a haircut. Or talent. Either works.
I'm rootin for Chris.
