It's called a search warrant. It is issued after probable cause is shown to believe proceeds from illegal activities are inside of a location. It also is a tool for gathering "additional" evidence. I.e. finding evidence of wrongdoing, whether it be a bloody knife or credit card receipts.
Sounds like the same argument hippies make when the eeeevil gov't dares to come into their houses and (gasp) seize their beloved plants. How dare they! How dare they take my things which are unquestionably illegal to possess...
So will you simply complain every single time someone is arrested for gambling?
At what point does it become the fault of the party being arrested who actually broke the law???
This country provides all the freedoms any person could reasonably want, but sometimes you have to sacrifice certain things to get them.
I.e. You want to legally pay for a hooker? Fine, but you're going to have to go to certain parts of Nevada. Deal with it.
You want to drink beer? Fine. But I guess some counties are dry, so you might have to move your lazy ass across state lines.
Too many people in the country want to live aboe the law. It's pretty pathetic. 99% of the world's problems are caused by people and their sense of entitlement.

I'll complain about retarded laws whenever I feel like it. Whenever I do it are you going to oversimplify the issues?

Fault? What does that even mean? I'm not saying the guy was smart to have been breaking the law. I'm saying the law is stupid, and that it is a waste of police resources to spend so much time and effort to have to enforce bullshit laws.

I think that wanting the freedom to bet on a football game in San Antonio is reasonable.

Again, I'm not endorsing lawlessness. I'm saying the law is stupid.
But in the cases where laws are unjust, you are inevitably going to have people refusing to follow them, probably more so than just laws.

What a pussy the guy writing this must be.

I agree with you that it sounds like he didn't understand the whole search warrant issue.
But the big point he's making that I agree with is that it is fucking ridiculous that gambling is illegal for this guy.
