I think deleting it would be dishonest - anyone who read my initial post would have no chance of seeing the update. I don't know what the truth of this matter is, so I thought it best to put all the information out there.
My update is about the same size as the original post, so I'm not sure what the point of "tiny" is.

Gotcha, so you'd argue that the retraction should be both in the original post but should also be in a separate post for evenness? Good idea.
