Last night I sat through a full hour of speeches at my fiancee's grandfather's 99th infantry division reunion (WWII). The speakers were both high-ranking active duty officers. The first guy began by showing an "Army Strong" commercial, which I'll admit would be pretty cool if inserted into a Bad Boys movie. He then proceeded to softly compell the geriatric veterans to encourage their progeny to enlist and serve their country as they did in WWII. Of course, the only difference is that their service was legally enforced and served to topple one of the world's most evil forces. I think they should have thought about supporting the troops before going into Iraq, then maybe we wouldn't have been there in the first place.
