Ha! For all of you lesser-evil supporters of BO evil, how do you feel about this? You voted for BO to keep McCain away from power, right? To make sure he has nothing to do with the important decisions, right? Well now Commander Hope-n-Change is calling McCain every night asking him what to do, almost as if he thinks McCain is likely to have something useful to say.

How do I feel about this? Probably less upset than you.
[Howdy. Happy New Year.]
It's called disarming your (potential) enemies. It's something Bush never learned. I think we can both agree that Obama is facing more crises than just about any incoming President in history. The last thing he needs is the current leader of the Republican party, probably bitter at being beaten out the job he's wanted forever, acting as a road-block to much needed legislation.
This is the art of politics. He now has now neuralized McCain - and what did he give up? Do you really think McCain changed Obama's mind about anything substantial?
He did the same thing with the elite Washington pundits, by arrainging to have dinner with them at George F. Will's house. Obama knows these people crave attention and the aura of respect. Just because Obama has dinner with them doesn't mean he's a neocon all of a sudden.
Politics is an elaborate dance that few ever master, but those who do get things done (not always good things, as you know).
This is why I could never be a good politician - if I got good at the art of politics I would end up hating myself for playing these kind of games.
I know you despise Obama - as you do all politicians, but politics and politicians might be as necessary to our survival as the systems in our body that collects and eliminates our, um, fecal matter, and about as pleasant to contemplate.
And happy new year to you as well.
Just because Obama has dinner with them doesn't mean he's a neocon all of a sudden.
No, but his history of doing and saying the same things as neocons might.
