one decent man? i doubt it, but kill him just in case!

again, i know sports is stupid, but sometimes you can learn a lot about people by the way they respond to sports and sports stories.  so take this thing where a a pittsburgh steelers player is not going to go with his teammates to the traditional white house visit that super bowl champs make.  and this is a big deal and people are freaking out about it.

motherfuckers, the white house is the fucking command center of the world's most devastating human death machine.  why the fuck would anyone want to go there?  now i dont really expect mainstream commentators to say that.  but the speed with which these media idiots drop to their knees to suck the cock of state power is pretty pathetic.

Why would commentators who make great money talking about sports all day and ex-players who made incredibly great money playing a game want to do anything but submit to the establishment that allows them to do this? But I would guess that's part of your point---sad.

and i guess the point is also that not only do they bow down to power, but they also viciously lash out against anyone who refuses to bow down. this story is the latest example; josh howard was another recent one. they can't even stand to see someone else make a tiny token show of resistance to the corrupt system.

Agreed adspar. This reminds me of that Josh Howard bullshit from last September. Heaven forbid any dissent arise from those that profit greatly from our national "priorities"(sports, entertainment, etc. . .).

Well, this isn't really fair. Everything I read about this was calling into question his reasoning, not his decision. And if you read anything about his reasoning, it was retarded.

i don't think his reasoning was any more retarded than the reasoning of the people who decide to go. and did you watch the video that went with the article? admittedly i don't watch a lot of sports commentary these days, but it seems to me that the outrage was driven by more than his reasoning.

Well his reason was that he was upset that he wouldn't have been invited if the Cardinals had won the superbowl instead. That *is* retarded.
