• City of God - Watched it 6/18. Pretty good, worth watching. Probably not good enough that I would go out of my way to recommend it to someone several times though...

• Spiderman 1 or 2 -I suppose I'll probably watch these one day, but I don't usually have much interest in comic book movies. Batman Begins was awesome though.

• The Shins - They aren't available on my Yahoo service, so I doubt I'll check them out.

• The Shield -I've seen this show a little bit. It does look pretty good.

• The Language Instinct, by Steven Pinker - I've read this. It is excellent.
