Democrat Warlust (update)

They're giddy that it might soon be their turn to order the bloodshed. They'll be doing it more efficiently than those Bush guys!

Seriously, this is what I'm supposed to support? I'm supposed to line up and cast a vote for these lunatics? This is the "lesser evil" offered to me by the system? Doesn't this kinda make you think that maybe a system where this is the best available option is hopelessly broken?

I just want to fucking scream and then puke and then weep for humanity. I don't know, maybe this is what we deserve.

Fuck you, Biden.
Fuck you, BO.
Fuck the Democrats.
Fuck this election.
Fuck the system.

Update: Typically great stuff from Chris Floyd.

Biden and Obama are not progressives; they are POSEURS! I think the real, harcore liberals are starting to realize how much the party has gone to shit and are now voting for Nader, WHO IS A GREAT GUY. I have a feeling Obama only chose Biden because Biden appeals to all the voter groups Obama does not, like the Catholics (Biden is Catholic) or the Jewish community (Biden is an uber-zionist). I don't know about you, but I'm voting Nader.

Humanity throws trash out the window. If this bothers you, humanity doesn't care, you're wasting your tears. Locally, like a good trailsman you can pick up the trash. But you're not going to change humanity.

In life, as in business, if you want to retain your sanity you don't take on impossible tasks.

Julia - I consider a vote for Nader much better than a vote for BO, but I'm boycotting the entire election, which I think is a more effective vote than one for Nader.

Horsec/GovtWork - The state is behind the trash and the cavalier attitude towards nature.

Boycotting the election is exactly what the ones in power want you to do. If many people do it then their statistics can show that a larger percentage of the votes went to the big parties.

If this 30% of people who "boycott" the election voted for a small party then you would break the Bipartisan hold on you government. By not voting you're just retaining the status quo and basically helping them.

A large percentage of the votes go to big parties because the game is hopelessly rigged in their favor. If you vote for another party, the powerful can point to the fact that these 3rd parties get few votes as "proof" that democracy works but not many people are interested in their platforms. Boycotting the election is the more effective means of delivering the message that the options given to us aren't worth choosing from.

I see no hope offered by 3rd parties, because I see no reason to think they wouldn't become just as corrupted as the big two. And I disagree that refusing to vote supports the status quo. If nobody voted then the government would be unable to govern with legitimacy.
