A compelling story from Brice Lord. The punchline is that politicians and corporate interests managed to take advantage of environment concerns to pass a law purporting be environmentally friendly that actually has the opposite effect.

I appreciate the feature, though I'll renew my objection to the "YAY America!" tag--nothing new though.
This may or may not interest you, but Germany has a similar problem passing green standards on cars due to a strong car manufacturing industry and doting government, despite being tied to tight EU standards and having the EU Presidency currently.
