Huge obvious jokes

All of these things are absurd hypocrisy or otherwise pathetic:
  • "In God We Trust" on US currency
  • "Under God" in US Pledge
  • Columbus Day celebrated as a national holiday
  • "Redskins" as the name of the US Capital's NFL football team
  • "War on Drugs" but alcohol is legal
They're all so fucking obviously ridiculous. Shouldn't this be embarrassing for everyone?

#1 on your list should be the celebration of Columbus Day. Literally makes me sick.

"Under God" was put as a direct result of a lobbying effort by the Knights of Columbus, and was justified by its ability to distinguish us from those "godless communists."

Columbus Day was a direct end-result of another lobbying effort by the Knights of Columbus. It's funny that we have federal holidays to celebrate both Martin Luther King, Jr., the leader of the peaceful movement to end racial intolerance, and Columbus, America's very first murderous slavetrader.

It took me three tries to post that. WTF? Switch to the new blog format, will you?

If you mean the google takeover, I want to switch so bad but I just have to wait until they offer me the beta.

It would seem that the Knights of Columbus are single-handedly ruining America.
